Process for producing a super-quenched alloy with secondary-phase particles dispersed therein

A super-quenched alloy with secondary-phase particles dispersed therein, containing at least one type of secondary-phase particles which are uniformly dispersed three-dimensionally in a super-quenched alloy matrix of an amorphous phase, a crystalline phase or a phase consisting of a mixture of the abovementioned two phases, and having outstanding mechanical and other properties is produced by thermal melting of a parent alloy intended for the formation of the abovementioned super-quenched alloy matrix, subsequent injection and dispersing of the abovementioned secondary-phase particles, in conjunction with an injection medium consisting of an inert gas, in the abovementioned molten parent alloy before the latter has solidified, allowing the molten parent alloy to cool to form a block which contains the secondary-phase particles, melting the block to such an extent that the secondary-phase particles do not melt, and subsequent super-quenching of the molten block, whereby the secondary-phase particles are uniformly dispersed three-dimensionally in the super-quenched alloy matrix.
