PURPOSE:To enable to recover exhaust energy of an engine as mechanial energy, by charging a magnetic fluid into a closed-loop conduit extended through the inside of an exhaust pipe and a cooling-water pipe of the engine, attaching a magnet to the high-temperature side of the closed-loop conduit, and disposing a turbine at a portion of the closed-loop conduit. CONSTITUTION:A closed-loop conduit 16 charged with a magnetic fluid is disposed between an exhaust pipe 10 extended from an engine and a cooling-water pipe 12 which are disposed in parallel to each other. A part of the closed-loop conduit 16 is extended through the inside of the exhaust pipe 10 while other part of the conduit 16 is extended through the inside of the cooling-water pipe 12. On the inside of the exhaust pipe 10 serving as a high-temperature side, a magnet 18 is disposed in the manner of surrounding the closed-loop conduit 16. Although magnetism of the magnetic fluid 14 is lost at the high-temperature region, the fluid 14 restores magnetism at the low-temperature region. Therefore, if a magnetic field is applied to the magnetic fluid 14, attractive force is applied to the magnetic fluid 14 passing through the low-temperature region of the conduit 16, and the magnetic fluid 14 located on the low-temperature region is carried toward the high-temperature region. Thus, since the magnetic fluid 14 is circulated forcedly through the inside of the closed-loop conduit 16, it is enabled to drive a turbine 20 disposed on the inside of the conduit 16 and to thereby obtain mechanical energy. |
