PREPARATION OF TYPING WHEEL OR TYPE RING

PURPOSE:To efficiently perform partial plating with high accuracy without necessitating complicated work, by plating a typing part by rotating a typing wheel in such a state that only a part of the typing part is immersed in a treating solution. CONSTITUTION:Disc shaped typing wheel or a petal shaped typing ring having a large number of fine legs protruded therefrom comprising an acetal resin susceptible to plating is used as a body to be plated. One or plural typing wheels or typing rings are attached to a rotary shaft 5 vertically to a liquid surface and, after the height of the rotary shaft 5 is adjusted so as to contact only typing parts 2 to be plated with a treating solution 6 during rotation, the rotary shaft 5 is connected to a drive apparatus and roated. A rotary speed is set so as to generate centrifugal force such that the treating solution 6 adhered to the typing parts 2 does not reach the part of the typing wheel or the type ring.
