PURPOSE:To enable formation of multiple images or double-side images with one time of original setting by operating dividedly plural times an original scanning means and conveying paper to an image forming means by changing the direction of the paper or in loop without changing the direction at every one operation of said means. CONSTITUTION:Copying of two sheets of superposed originals 91, 92 of a size A4 is accomplished by arraying and setting two sheets of the originals 91, 92 on an original placing plate 2, moving an original scanning means from the position A to B, slightly returning backward the scanning means, allowing the means to stand-by, performing scanning of the 1st sheet of the original 91 and forming the image on an photosensitive body 10. On the other hand, paper is fed from a cassette 41 to a transfer position and after the transfer, the paper is fed toward the transfer position without changing the direction by conveying belts 3, 44, 45. On the other hand, the original scanning means is moved from the stand-by position B to the position C and is then returned to the position A. The image of the original 92 formed on the photosensitive body 10 is formed superposedly on the previously formed image of the original 91 on the paper fed to the transfer position. |
