The invention relates to the construction of an electrical light-signalling device having a transparent cover, for domestic installation and similar purposes. In this case, the configuration of the invention relates in particular to the connection between the housing of the light signal and the transparent cover. For this purpose, the invention provides a latching connection between the two parts by means of a sealing ring on the transparent cover. Upon latching of the transparent cover with the housing of the light signal, the sealing ring is brought into a snug fit with the housing wall of the light signal and thus additionally rendered moisture-proof.
