The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with pneumatic tyres and with a rigid rim and with a radial tyre having a single-layer or multi-layer radial carcass which is anchored in the tyre beads by having bead cores wrapped around it. In the said wheel, the radial tyre is arranged with its beads on rim seating faces which are located on the radially inner circumference of the wheel rim next to rim flanges which extend radially inwards and axially outwards. In order to improve different tyre properties, it is proposed that the neutral line of the carcass in the bead region and in the lower side wall region obeys the function of a catenary line.
