摘要 A solid electrolyte tube is proposed which is used in the high-temperature vapour-phase production of hydrogen by electrolysis. The solid electrolyte tube is preferably composed of stabilised zirconium dioxide and is produced by pressing and sintering methods which are standard in ceramic technology. It has an essentially hollow-cylindrical shape, but has a wall thickness which is less than that found necessary for strength reasons if the wall thickness is kept constant and exhibits at least one bead-like thickened section on its outer contour. Preferably, the ends also exhibit a thickened section of this type. The wall thickness in the bead-like thickened section is 1.5 to 2.5 times the wall thickness of the rest of the tube. In this way it is possible, for example, to reduce the wall thickness of most of the tube from 0.5 to 0.3 mm. <IMAGE>
