The holding device comprises a holding body (8) which has a cylindrical sleeve (11) for frictional accommodation of the microphone (7) and is anchored with a mounting projection (14) in a receiving well (6) on a wall in the inner space of the telephone housing. The microphone (7) is pressed by the holding body (8) with elastic pretension against a rest area (10) provided with sound penetrations (9) against another wall in the inner housing space. The invention can be applied in telephone sets having components clamped between two detachably connected housing shells (1, 2). <IMAGE>
