NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R<1> is imidazolyl or (lower alkylsubstituted) pyridyloxy; R<2> is H or lower alkyl; m is 1-6]. EXAMPLE7-[5-1-Imidazolyl)pentyloxy]coumarine of formula II. USE:The compound has blood platelet coagulation inhibiting action, and is useful for the prevention and remedy of arteriosclerosis, cerebral infraction, stenocardia, etc. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be prepared by reacting the imidazole or hydroxypyridine compound of formula R<1>-M (M is H or alkali metal) with the halogenoalkyloxycoumarine derivative of formula III (X is halogen) [e.g. 7-(5-bromopentyloxy)coumarine] in the presence of a base such as sodium hydride. |
