PURPOSE:To prevent a printing head, a paper and a ribbon from being staggered or rubbed and print clearly, by a construction wherein a platen holder is pivotally supported on a frame through an aligning mechanism, and both end support parts of the holder are elastically supported through an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:The platen holder 3 is supported by engaging the aligning mechanism 9 which consists of a V-groove 10 and a projection 11, and simultaneously inserting both end supporting arm parts 12 into inserting holes 14. An elastic body 13, particularly, a front affixed part 13A thereof is provided with such a thickness that it is compressed by a predetermined amount in the supported condition and a reactional force thereof creates an appropriate pressure at the press engaging part (the groove 10 and the projection 11) of the aligning mechanism. Thus, the platen holder 3 is elastically supported through the elastic body 13 by the spring force of the body 13. Accordingly, a platen 2 is prevented from partial contact or chattering, with a simple construction. |
