PURPOSE:To uniformize recording density, by preheating a recording head by reversing the preceeding recording data at every bit if necessary for a preheating time separate from a main recording time. CONSTITUTION:When CPU finishes data transmission treatment of 16-bits and outputs a recording data transmitting clock P7, shift registers 74, 58 respond and 16-bit recording data is stored in a resister 74 while the preceeding 16-bit recording data of the register 58 is reversed at every bit and comes to preheating data. This preheating data is applied to a thermal head array 9 through a latch drive circuit 59, which is controlled by the output of FF78 set through a pulse amplitude controller 60 when the temp. detection output of the thermal head array 9 is near, for the preheating time during a main recording time. At a necessary time, the array 9 is preheated and heat generating delay based on the preceeding heat generation is prevented without imparting influence to the heat time constant characteristic of the array 9 and recording density becomes uniform even if high speed recording is performed. |
