The unit heater with a combustion chamber, used for example for combustion of diesel, oils, a fuels, mostly used for independent heating in motor vehicles, has an inner wall of the combustion chamber equipped with a heating resistance wire, which adjoins an absorptive insert. The heating resistance wire is simultaneously electrically connected in series with heater filament of a heater plug. It is advantageous to equip the heating resistance wire with slided ceramic elements, which embrace the whole surface of the resistance wire.<IMAGE>
