PURPOSE:To prevent the insertion port of a cassette from inflow of water by abutting a rubber member fitted to a cassette cover to ribs fitted to the cassette insertion port so as to surround the insertion port. CONSTITUTION:The tape cassette insertion port 2 is formed on a cabinet front wall 1c at a position close to the upper surface 1b of the almost rectangular cabinet 1 and the projected ribs 3a, 3b, 3c, 3b' are fitted around the tape cassette insertion port 2 so as to surround the insertion port 2 continuously. A cassette cover 4 for opening/closing the cassette insertion port 2 is turnably supported on the upper surface 1b of the cabinet 1. The rubber member 9 having projections 9a, 9b to be continuously abutted to the outsides of the ribs 3a, 3b, 3c, 3b' is formed on the inside of the cassette cover 4. In said constitution, the tape recorder can be prevented from inflow of water by the ribs 3a, 3b, 3b', 3c fitted around the tape cassette insertion port 2 as banks and the projections 9a, 9b of the rubber member 9 pressed against the ribs even if a small quantity of water is splashed. |
