The AF controller 113 rotates a motor MO1 in the clockwise direction or in the counterclockwise direction through a motor driver circuit 114 in accordance with the clock in the defocus direction obtained by using the data of the object image. When the driving speed of the motor does not come to be constant at the time of the acceleration of the motor, the deceleration of the motor and the driving of the pulse, the correction of the lens shifting quantity calculated by the lens shifting quantity during the calculation is prohibited.
