PURPOSE:To use a residue generation part of the same constitution even for a three-bit slice having a different residue pattern, by changing fetch positions of an output part in accordance of N-bit digits. CONSTITUTION:A residue generation part 3 which outputs a residue in accordance to respective bits 2<0>-2<7>, residue generation parts 4-6 having the same constitution, and residue output parts 7-9 are provided, and 0 is inputted to the input terminal A of the residue generation part 6 all the time. When the residue generation part 5 outputs a residue 1, the residue output part 8 outputs a residue 2 and when the residue generation part 5 outputs the residue 2, the residue output part 8 outputs the residue 1. Thus, the residues outputted from the residue output parts 7-9 are applied to a residue generation part 10 to generate an eight-bit residue, which is sent out of a residue transmission part 11. Therefore, when LSI chipsI-III form split constitution on three-bit slice bassis, the residue generation parts 4-6 have the same constitution. |
