PURPOSE:To emit a driving part, to remove mechanical abrasion and to improve the reliability of vibration by sweeping optical beams on the basis of polarization by a fixed polarizing element. CONSTITUTION:The sweeping of an optical beam to a bit 11 formed on a sheet 12 is executed by driving the polarizing element 13 synchronously with a reproducing signal and polarizing the optical beam. The optical beam is polarized in the direction of the pit 11 to sweep the straight pit 11. When the optical beam reaches the final end of the pit, the optical beam is returned to the initial end and polarized in the rectangular direction to the pit direction to shift the optical beam to the suceeding pit line and sweep the optical beam. All signals recorded in the sheet 12 or a part of the signals can be reproduced by repeating said operation. |
