PURPOSE:To improve an S/N ratio by using thermally contractible resin as an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The thermally contractible resin is heated and is cooled and hardened with the rubber elasticy generated while applying tension to the resin in the two axes or radial direction. The formed sheet 4 is cut off like a disc and the discoid sheet is adhered to a base plate 5 and prevented from being curved by dead load or external force. Then, the surface of the sheet 4 is coated with an Ni thin film 3 by sputtering. After writing data in the recording medium, the surface of the recording medium is recessed and the reflected light by the recessed part is inclined from its incident light about its reflecting surface, so that the reflected light is not almost returned to the original optical path. |
