PRODUCTION OF L-TRYPTOPHAN BY FERMENTATION

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce L-tryptophan, in high yield, by culturing a mutant belonging to Brevibacterium genus or Corynebacterium genus. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Brevibacterium genus or Corynebacterium genus, resistant to N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine or N,N-bis(phosphonomethyl)glycine and capable of producing L-tryptophan, e.g. Brevibacterium lactofermentum AJ12043 (FERM-P No. 7126) is cultured in a liquid medium under aerobic condition, and L-tryptophan is separated from the culture liquid.
