A device for condensing vapour escaping through a vent in a tub of a dishwasher comprises a flat hollow body having an opening 1 connectable to the vent in the tub, an opening 2 which vents to atmosphere, and an inner wall 13 forming a duct 14 through which air flows from opening 15 to opening 16 cooling wall 13 such that its internal surface acts as a condenser surface.
