PURPOSE:To prevent generation of false signals due to scattering of characteristics by forming a matching layer on the proncipal face of a piezoelectric oscillator and forming a back load body on the face opposite to the principal face and thereby providing a sound wave scattering body on the opposite side of the oscillator of the back load body. CONSTITUTION:A matching layer 3 to a human body is formed on a principal face of the piezoelectric oscillator 1 of an ultrasonic probe, and a converging lens 4 is formed on the layer 3. A back load body 5 is formed on the side of the oscillator opposite to the layer 3 and a sound wave scattering body 9 is fixed on the side of the load body opposite to the oscillator 1. The load body 5 is made of tungsten epoxy resin, silicone rubber, etc. The material is poured into a pouring mold placed on the back of the oscillator 1, and before solidification, the sound wave scattering body 9 is installed by pressing, and the scattering body is stuck fast by solidification. Thus, pouring of the load body 5 is made easy, and generation of false signals due to scattering of characteristics is prevented. |
