PURPOSE:To produce high-activity apo-GOT useful for the determination of vitamin B6, in high efficiency, by the affinity treatment of apo-GOT obtained by the cultivation of microorganism. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Escherichia genus is cultured in a medium free from vitamin B6 to produce and accumulate apo-GOT in the microbial cell. The microbial cells are disintegrated, and subjected to the affinity treatment preferably with a carrier containing a vitamin B6 derivative, e.g. pyridoxamine phosphate succinylaminohexyl sepharose. |
