PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance on the sliding side of a magnetic recording medium and to prevent the adhesion of foreign substances such as dust by mixing fine needle-like fillers obtained by impregnating lublicant into its hollow parts with fixing materials as main fillers. CONSTITUTION:The fillers 1 formed like extremely thin needles are mixed with other fillers 5 as fluid fixing materials 6, which are made to flow into a shielding case 4 engaged with a magnetic core assembly. The fillers 1 are aligned at its axial direction to the sliding surface of a magnetic head, fixed and then ground to finish the sliding surface of the magnetic recording medium. Since the lublicant is impregnated into the follow parts 1a of the thin needle-like fillers 1, the lublicant can be always supplied to the surface of the sliding surface of the magnetic recording medium and the wear resistance is improved. |
