IMPROVED BULK STARTER MEDIA A starter media with internal acid control can be prepared by adding to the ingredients normal to a starter media an amount of magnesium monoammonium phosphate, also known in its mineral form as struvite, or the ingredients necessary for the preparation thereof to the starter media.
