PURPOSE:To improve accuracy for stopping and maintaining a conveyor in the prescribed position by mounting an iron core having a tooth-shaped part on a conveyor along the conveying direction, the conveyor being driven by a LIM (linear induction motor) provided with a primary coil on the truck side, in such a manner that magnetic attractive force acts on the tooth-shaped part by detecting the conveyor in the stopping zone. CONSTITUTION:When an iron core 8 having a tooth-shaped part mounted on a conveyor 5 is detected by a conveyor detector 11, an energizing indication is outputted to an electromagnet 9. By energizing of the electromagnet 9, the iron core 8 is attracted so that the conveyor 5 is stopped and maintained in the prescribed position in a station with good accuracy. Acceleration and deceleration can be achieved by the interaction of a proceeding magnetic field generated by a primary coil 1 of a LIM and a vortex induced by the proceeding magnetic field with a secondary conductor 6 securely fixed on a lower part of the conveyor 5. By this constitution, the conveyor can be stopped and maintained rapidly in the prescribed position with good accuracy. |
