PURPOSE:To change easily a magnification range by selecting one magnification group from plural magnification groups, and controlling a variable power magnification in accordance with an image forming magnification selected and set from said magnification group. CONSTITUTION:When an electric power source is turned on, a magnification range and a copying magnification are set to an initial value automatically, respectively, and displayed on each display part 80, 83. Subsequently, when one magnification setting key among magnification setting keys 811-815 is depressed, a corresponding pilot lamp among pilot lamps 821-825 is lighted, and a specified magnification is displayed on a set magnification display part 83. After setting of the copying magnification is ended, unless a copying key 73 or other key is depressed within a prescribed time, the magnification range and the copying magnification are reset automatically to the initial value. On the other hand, when a use sets a magnification, subsequently, sets the number of copying sheets and depresses the copying key 73, a revolving speed is controlled by the number of pulses since a scanning motor 43 and a drum driving motor 64 are a pulse motor, respectively, and a velocity ratio can be made to coincide with a set magnification. In this way, an image of an optional size can be formed by a simple operation. |
