PURPOSE:To prevent a noise at deceleration from occurring, by interrupting shifting operation as a neutral position until an accelerator pedal is stepped on, in the case where shifting down is determined as an optimum transmission step to a low speed in time of releasing the accelerator pedal from operated pressure. CONSTITUTION:A processor 9a compares a gear position GP with a gear select signal GOPT, and detects whether or not an accelerator pedaling travel AP is zero when GP>GOPT, that is, shift-down is possible and a select running range is in a ''D'' range. And, when the accelerator pedaling travel AP is zero, the processor 9a ignores the gear select signal GOPT, making a gear command GEAR:OPT into neutral, and holds itself in readiness until the accelerator is stepped on. With this constitution, the occurrence of an operation noise following unnecessary shifting operations in a state of deceleration is thus kept back. |
