<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a painting inferior product by stopping painting work, by detecting the clogging of the nozzle of a painting spray gun by attaching a piezoelectric conversion type pressure sensor to the intermediate part between the nozzle jet orifice and the valve part of said spray gun. CONSTITUTION:Painting treatment is performed to a product 1 to be painted such as a can by a spray gun while a large number of said products to be painted are tumbled and transferred. A paint liquid recirculation route consisting of a paint supply source 13, a heater 14, a filter 15, a pressure regulator 16 and the valve seat 4 of the spray gun is provided to the spray gun 2 and, at the same time, a silicone pressure sensor 20 is attached to the intermediate position between the nozzle jet orifice 10 and the valve seat 4. In performing painting by recirculating a paint liquid through the above mentioned recirculation route, the supply pressure of the paint liquid is added to the sensor 20 if the nozzle jet orifice 10 is clogged with foreign matters and the generated pressure detecting signal is inputted to a control apparatus 21 while a solenoid valve 18 is closed and the valve part is closed as well as a stopper 22 is protruded to stop the movement of the can 1 to be painted and the clogging of the nozzle jet orifice 10 is informed by an alarm 23.</p> |
