PURPOSE:To prevent oblique movement of a sheet when the sheet is supplied again, by a method wherein, in an intermediate tray device, the sheets are contained in a condition in which the sheet side edges parallel to a direction, in which the sheet is fed, are trued up. CONSTITUTION:When a mode is selected to perform double-sided copy, an electromagnet plunger 24, simultaneously, is actuated, a push up member 23 is raised against a spring 25, and the envelope surface, by which the surfaces of push up members 23a2-23an are interconnected, is slanted downward toward a control plate 23a1. Thus, when, with this condition, a sheet 12 is conveyed and contained through a conveyance passage, the sheet is slipped down along the envelope surface, inclining downward, under gravity and makes contact with the control plate 23a1, and the side edge, parallel to a direction in which the sheet is fed, of the sheet is trued up. The push up member 23 is brought into a condition, shown in a chain line, with gravity, the restoring force of the spring 25, and the load of the sheets 12, and the sheets 12 are placed on a tray 19 and brought into a horizontal state and are fed to perform duplication on the opposite surface. |
