PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality by providing an error processing circuit applying processing to an error signal being a difference between a pedestal level of a digital video signal and an object pedestal level and outputting the result as a control signal so as to be inconsipicuous a lateral stripe luminance noise. CONSTITUTION:A signal sampled and coded at an A/D comparator 105 is outputted as a digital video signal 106. The digital video signal 106 is inputted to a pedestal level detecting circuit 107, where an average value of a color burst part is calculated to obtain a pedestal level 108. Then a subtractor 110 calculates a difference between a detected pedestal level 108 and an object pedestal level 119 and an error signal 111 and inputted to an error processing circuit 120. The nonlinear processing is applied in the circuit 120 and a control signal 121 is outputted. |
