DEVICE FOR PRODUCING GLASS BUBBLE

PURPOSE:To produce stably and continuously glass bubbles having a specified film thickness and a uniform grain size by supplying a primary gas into the fused glass which is suspended like a drop in a nozzle for glass to expand the glass then elongating the glass in a secondary gas. CONSTITUTION:The 3rd nozzle body 27 having a secondary gas nozzle 28 is fixed via the 2nd nozzle body 23 made into the shape of a bottomed hollow cylinder to the bottom end of the 1st nozzle body 20 fixed to the bottom of a glass tank 7 to form a secondary gas chamber. A secondary gas is supplied via a chamber 22 into the secondary gas chamber. The fused glass in the tank 7 is supplied to a nozzle 24 for glass and is suspended like a drop in covering the nozzle 21 and thereafter the primary gas is supplied through the nozzle 21 into the glass to inflate the glass. The glass is elongated axially by the axial flow of the secondary gas supplied into the secondary gas chamber. The flow of the secondary gas is throttled by the nozzle 28 of the body 27 then the gas expands on the outside of the nozzle 28 and therefore the fused bubble sealed therein with the primary gas is torn off on the outside of the nozzle 28.
