PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a thermal transfer film usable over a large number of times, by providing a pair of shafts subjected to rotary driving during the movement of a carrier, and alternately and selectively driving each reel by said shafts while receiving a film end detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:When a carrier runs rightward (leftward), a film cassette equipped with reels 26, 27 also moves to the same direction. In this case, because belts 19, 28 are wound around pulleys and fixed at both ends thereof, a pulley 15 is driven by said belts 19, 20 ro rotate to a counterclockwise direction (clockwise direction) and a pulley 16 rotates to a clockwise direction (counterclockwise direction). A shaft 13 rotates only to a clockwise direction by a one-way clutch and a film is always wound up by a reel 26. When the film end is detected, a plunger 24 falls while a plunger 25 rises and, this time, a shaft 14 is driven by a pulley 17 or 18 to rotate only to a counterclockwise direction and the film is wound up by a reel 27. |
