PURPOSE:To facilitate dimension measurement of a moving body with simple construction, by picking up images, with a pair of camera, of front and rear positions of the moving body and operative process of its plurality of position informations. CONSTITUTION:A length dimension of roller A fed out from a feeding mechanism 1 is picked up through a pair of image pick up units 3X, 3Y, lighting unit 7X, 7Y, and from roller images A', A'' projected from image sensors 4X, 4Y, informations on top and bottom positions of the roller A are sampled with a sampling processing circuit. From the position information pair subjected to sampling the mean value of the dimension of the roller A is operated by the operation processing circuit and delivered as an output. By this arrangement, dimension measurement of the moving body A can be made with a simple construction. |
