PURPOSE:To make post-recording or the like possible by subjecting picture information and an audio signal to PCM conversion together and dividing a recording area and recording them in the state where the recording area of picture information and that of the audio signal to a rotary head are <=90 deg.. CONSTITUTION:An area 4-4 of picture information subjected to PCM conversion and an area 4-5 of the audio signal subjected to PCM conversion are recorded separately from each other. An overall lap angle is indicated by phi, and angles of areas of picture information and the audio signal are indicated by phip and phis respectively. No signals are recorded in an area 4-3 which is provided between both areas and has an angle phia. Angles phip and phis are set to <=90 deg.. Four magnetic heads 6-2, 6-1, 6-4, and 6-5 are attached to the outside circumference of a cylinder 6-1 at equal intervals of 90 deg.. The area on a magnetic tape where information or the signal is recorded by one magnetic head has <=90 deg.. By these magnetic, heads post-recording or the like is possible. |
