The mechanism is for trunk rolling in a timber sorting installation, where the trunks are sorted into compartments on either side of a transport unit. Rolling arms move the trunks and are rotatably located, moving forwards and backwards from both sides around approaching trunks. A primary piston and cylinder unit causes the arms to execute their rotary movements, and by traction force the arms are moved to a predetermined neutral position. A secondary such unit provides the direction in which the arms are to be turned. |
