PURPOSE:To improve the energy density of cell by forming an electrode for secondary cell while employing conjugate macromolecular compound, denatured polyolefin and metallic current collector. CONSTITUTION:An electrode for secondary cell is formed by employing macromolecular compound such as acetylene high polymer having conjugate double bond in principal chain, binding agent of denatured polyolefin such as graft denatured low density polyethylene and metal current collector such as stainless steel foil. A secondary cell employing this electrode has low weight of current collector in the cell resulting in reduction of weight and high energy density. While since the conjugate macromolecular compound and metal current collector are bonded strongly, the cycle life is lengthened while self-discharge rate is lowered and the voltage during discharge is flattened. |
