PURPOSE:To reduce time for distance measurement, by dividing both shift resistors into front and rear stages, arranging the former in an image data convertor and the latter in an evaluation function generator and allowing the evaluation function to be generated simultaneously for all number of shifts. CONSTITUTION:Evaluation function generating circuit group 600-60s, comparing both image data series in the condition of mutual number of shifts 0-s, generates the evaluation functions in simultaneous and parallel manner. Readingout of a deviation number 1 showing the largest corelation for LH and RH image data is read out in a shift register 710 and its is realized by giving a pulse P70 from the central control circuit. Shift register 710, related OR gate 720 and distance signal operating circuit 800 decide from the evaluation function group generated by the evaluation function generating circuit group 600-60s, the number of shifts showing high corelation of the LH and RH image data series. Further, a distance signal showing a distance from the number of shifts to an object is generated from the distance signal generating circuit 720. Thus, both improvement of measuring accuracy and reduction of distance measuring time can be achieved. |
