PURPOSE:To enable management of the number of sheets by sizes and to permit sure management, etc. of consumables by providing means for discriminating a copying size and quantity and means for registering the same at every copying. CONSTITUTION:Paper boxes for sizes B5, A4, B4, A3 are provided in the body of a copying machine. A detection signal of an H level is emitted from an AND circuit 115 at the point of the time when a sensor 119 detects the paper upon ending of fixing in the case of, for example, B5. The signals for A4, B4, A3 are emitted similarly from circuits 116-118. Pulse signals having respectively different time widths are outputed from one-shot multivibrators 121-124. The supply of such pulses is received in a management device 20 through a connector 30 and the pulses are counted with a pulse width detecting circuit 201. The size of the paper is discriminated and a discrimination signal is outputted according to the result of said measurement. The size discrimination signal is supplied through a data path 202 to a CPU203 and the management of the copying machine is performed in accordance with a program. |
