Sliding device designed for participating in a beach sport, which uses the movements of the participant. The invention relates to a circular board whose suitably profiled and dimensioned shape enables a person to slide over a thin film of water in a standing, sitting or lying position. It comprises a bevelled (chamfered) edge 1 on its rim which reduces the drag of the disc over the water and ensures a long slide for the participant over the thin layer of water. Moreover, the disc is covered with a non-slip coating 2 to enable the participant's feet to grip better. This sliding device, which is particularly accessible to children, is intended for the recreation of bathers and for sporting purposes. <IMAGE>
