PURPOSE:To make it possible to effect bold character recording while lightening the load on a host computer and simplifying the operation, by drawing a bold character through the control according to a program stored in an ROM inside the printer. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 3 is connected to an interface 4 of a plotter 2. The interface 4 is connected to a CPU5. The CPU5 is connected through a driver 6 with X and Y step motors 7 and 8 for driving a pen. The CPU5 is further connected with an ROM9 in which commands have been written and an RAM10 for storing data. With this arrangement, data is read out from the RAM10 which stores data delivered from the host computer 3, and a character to be recorded is thereby judged. If bold character recording is specified, overlapping printing is executed a necessary number of times to draw a bold character. |
