In this device used to display the switched position of a differential including a locking device 6 capable of being coupled and uncoupled with respect to the housing of the differential 1 by means of a switching push rod 10 loaded by a piston 8 by means of the interposition of an elastic member, and in which the push rod loads an electric switch 13 which is disconnected in one position and connected in another position after travelling through a predetermined coupling stroke, and actuates a monitoring indicator 14 for delivering a first signal; this indicator is actuated also during the uncoupling stroke for delivering a second signal.
