PURPOSE:To manufacture a titled die in a short time and at a low cost by piling up many die elements made of steel sheets to form their peripheral surfaces into a stepped surface and fixing these elements together into one body. CONSTITUTION:Steel sheets 12a, 16a are cut into prescribed shapes respectively by using a laser beam machine, etc. Next, die elements 12, 16 are formed by fitting the peripheral edges of steel sheets 12a, 16a to the shape of a product A respectively. The die elements 12, 16 are piled up to form their outer peripheral surfaces into a stepped surface in case of using a punch 11 or to form the inner peripheral surfaces into a stepped one in case of a die 15, and then the elements 12, 16 are fixed together into one body by bolts 13, 17. In this way, a press die is easily manufactured. |
