PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurately put a transfer foil with a simplified putting means, by successively putting the transfer foil, while pressing a unit transfer portion of the transfer foil against a product in the order, the lower transfer surface, the stepped part surface and the upper transfer surface, through a transfer jig. CONSTITUTION:A transfer jig 6 is disposed such as to oppose a product, for example, a cap 1. A transfer foil 5 is positioned between the cap 1 and the jig 6. While the cap 1 and the jig 6 are being rotated relative to each other, a unit transfer portion of the transfer foil 5 is successively pressed by the jig 6 against the cap 1 in the order, a lower transfer surface 2a, a stepped part surface 4a and an upper transfer surface 3a. With this process being repeated, the transfer foil 5 is put to a predetermined portion on the peripheral surface of the cap 1. The transfer jig 6 is constituted by a transfer roll 6 molded from an elastic material, such as silicone rubber, the roll 6 having a press surface 7 which comes in resilient contact with the upper transfer surface 3a and a transfer collar part 8. The degree by which the transfer collar part 8 projects is set such as to be slightly greater than the height of the stepped part 4 and such that it is possible for the press surface 7 to be elastically deformed to such an extent that it can properly press the transfer foil 5 against the upper transfer surface 3a. |
