PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for disposing cores into dies and to improve the efficiency of casting operation by providing plural numbers of upper dies according to the number of casting, connecting the cores to the movable plate for the upper dies and making the respective upper dies horizontally movable. CONSTITUTION:A die cavity 14 is formed by plural upper dies 37, lower dies 9, horizontal dies 13 and cores 33 of the number corresponding to the number of casting by one shot. Port cores 16, 17 and jacket cores 18 are disposed thereon and a molten metal is poured into the cavity, by which casting is performed. When the dies 13 are opened upon solidification of the molten metal and the dies 37 and the cores 33 are risen, the castings rise as well. The dies 37 are then spaced horizontally from the cores 33 by the operation of a cylinder 38 and the castings are spaced from the dies 37. The castings are easily and surely parted from the dies even if the cores 33 are fixed to the plate 3 by using the above- mentioned device. |
