The present invention relates to a device for locking and unlocking using thrust. This device comprises, on the one hand, a keeper (striker plate) 1 secured to a movable element P and formed of two locking spurs 3 with a ramp 6 and of an unlocking slider 7 retained so that it can slide over the two spurs 3, and, on the other hand, a lock bolt 2 secured to a support S and formed with a spring 16 having a U-shaped part, the base 17 of which interacts with the spurs 3 for locking and with inclined tracks 9, 13 of the slider 7 for unlocking. The device of the invention applies for example to the flap for access to the filling orifice of a motor vehicle petrol tank. <IMAGE>
