PURPOSE:To prepare paste food having similar texture to crab meat, and composed of a number of short meat fibers collected along the direction inclined from the longitudinal direction of the product, by forming a bundle of continuous long fibers, and cutting the long fibers along the direction slant to the fiber direction. CONSTITUTION:Ground fish paste is extruded from the raw material feeder in the form of a web, and a plurality of fish meat webs 10 are formed by heating the above web. The webs are slit longitudinally and separated into fine strips. The slit webs are laminated to form a bundle 11 of continuous long fibers. The fibers are cut along the direction inclined 45 deg. from the longitudinal direction to obtain the product A composed of the collected short fibers (a) containing a number of short meat fibers 1 collected together making an angle of 45 deg. from the longitudinal direction. When the continuous long fiber group 11 is colored in blue color of the crab meat, packaged with a film and cut slantly, a colored and film-packed product can be obtained directly. |
