Compositions for controlling parasites by disrupting the process of reproduction. They comprise a pheromone or pheromone inhibitor, in liquid or semi-liquid state, in a polymeric matrix, resistant to water, which provides protection against UV, and which permits an adequate rate of diffusion of the active substance over a prolonged period of time (greater than 1 week), and they can be applied onto a solid support which may be a portion of the plants to be protected, for example the leaves. The application onto fields is done by adequate distribution of a certain number of plates, of appropriate size, of these compositions, each plate containing only 2 to 10 mg of active substance.
