Method for making photographs, pictures or similar items permanently phosphorescent, and objects obtained by this method

The method involves reducing the thickness of the paper or cardboard support by peeling, scraping or removing by any other means the film on the surface of the support opposite to that carrying the photographed or printed subject. The peeled or scraped surface is impregnated with an oily non-staining liquid which does not falsify the colours, which makes the support transparent and which dries quickly. A phosphorescent substance is applied to the impregnated surface. Fragments or traces of radioactive material are then placed at one or more spots on the said surface. Application particularly to photography and printed pictures.
