The present invention relates to a structure for cables, comprising optical fibres or a fibre-optic bundle 1, characterised in that it is composed of a long element 10 whose cross-section is an angular sector provided on its inner face with an opening 11 which is extended by an internal vault 14 receiving the optical fibres or the fibre-optic bundle, and also relates to electrical cables provided with such structures. The present invention is principally applicable to the manufacture of electrical cables having optical fibres or power-telecommunication hybrid (composite) cables. <IMAGE>
