PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of seizing defect, etc. in the pipe surface by providing balls to the space between the slidingly contacting surfaces of disks and an opposing material, in disher disks used for pipe manufacturing together with rolling rolls. CONSTITUTION:Disher disks 3, 3' are arranged freely rotatably in the horizontal plane so that they come into sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of a pipe 1. Plural balls 7, such as steel balls and ceramic ones which are surface treated to have resistances to seizure and wear, are inlaid freely rotatably in the recessed outer peripheral surfaces of the disks 3, 3', and the disks 3, 3' are in sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 1 through the balls 7. Thus the differential phase between the horizontally rotating directions of the disks 3, 3' and the spirally rotating direction, as shown by an arrow 4, of the pipe 1, is relaxed by the rotation of each roll 7. Accordingly the slips between the outer periphery of the pipe 1 and the disks 3, 3' are restrained to the minimum, and the seizing defect that generates in the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 1 is effectively prevented by preventing the seizure between both. |
