NEW MATERIAL:The clathrate compound composed of the compound of formula (R is H, OH, acyloxy or alkyloxy) and cyclodextrin. EXAMPLE:The 1:1 (by weight) clathrate compound of norbornadiene and beta-cyclodextrin. USE:An easily handleable powdery organic heat-accumulation agent capable of accumlating light energy in the form of thermal energy by isomerization caused by the photo-irradiation, and free from the strong odor, dissipation loss and polymerizing property of 7-substituted norbornadiene compound. PREPARATION:The clathrate compound of the compound of formula and cyclodextrin can be produced by contacting the compound of formula with cyclodextrin in deoxygenated water or alcohol, and separating the precipitated product. |
